On our first morning game drive we came across a pair of leopards. A young female in heat was trying desperately to get the attention of a handsome male but he was more interested in napping.

Each time she passed by he growled loudly. In the jeep across from us was Dan Marino and family, who were also staying at the Mala Mala Main Camp.

That night we came across the male leopard in a tree with an impala he had killed. The female laid near the base of the tree and he looked down and growled at her a couple of times before we headed back to the camp.
