We stayed only one night at the magnificent Chobe Game Lodge and the two river crusies we took while there were spectacular. We went up the river the first afternoon to watch the elephants frollick and drink and then further to watch the sunset

That night we attended a feast on the banks of the Chobe River. We were served many delicacies and everyone raved about the Wildebeest steaks. A waiter pointed out a huge crocodile cruising down the river while I ate and watched the dancers.

The next morning we went downriver on a chilly sunrise cruise. We saw cape buffaloes, crocodiles, hippos, elephants, many species of birds and a Namibian fisherman laying his nets. Namibia is across the Chobe River from Botswana where we stayed.

On our way to the airport later that morning we saw several Ground Hornbills that our guide said crush and eat everything in their path including tortoises.
